Corrine's reflections for the first two days!
Day 1
I think today was quite exciting! Our first destination was the Post Office. I learnt some new things about Vietnam. The most interesting destination was the Cuchi tunnel. I had a very very fun experience crawling under the ground. It involved cooperation and team spirit! :D Even though it was rather tiring and our legs went numb, we endured and managed to climb through the tunnel. Today we spent most of our time travelling and i heard that tomorrow we will be travelling for about 12 hours. Nevertheless, i am sure we will have fun! :D
Day 2
The second day was a very relaxing day, because we spent most of our time on the bus to get to Dalat city. It was very cold in Dalat and i love the weather there! We went to the Tea & Coffee Plantation. We had to walk a long distance to the plantation because a truck in front of us got stucked in the mud. Our shoes became very dirty and muddy because it was raining. After only a while, we had to walk our way back again. At the end, we all had to scrub off the mud off our shoes. Before we went to sleep, we all prepared our performance for the next day - Chicken Dance! It was quite a success and we went to sleep.
My OCIP experience at the Orphanage
It was a very fun experience! I have learnt that i am actually very blessed compared to those kids at the orphanage. I should learn to treasure my life. The kids over there are very adorable and active and like to play around. I think that the kids need company so it is good that we go there and play with them. I have also learnt that they are actually very unfortunate because they cannot feel the warmth of their parents, so the more we should be obedient towards our parents.
